The Diploma in Information Technology and UK Higher National Diploma in Computing and Systems Development are designed to give student a broad knowledge and understanding of information technology principles which are essential for students to become effective IT personnel and administrators. Information Technology is the development, implementation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems to organize and communicate information electronically.

The Diploma and UK Higher National Diploma expose students to key functional areas of Information Technology, designed to enable students to develop system design skills and programming skills imperative for successful performance in employment. These attributes are amassed through the variety of core units; Computer Organization, Database, Operating System, Data Communication and Networking, Visual Programming, Management Information System, Multimedia and e-Commerce

Assessment for BTEC Higher National Diploma will solely be assignment based. Students are also provided with opportunities to undergo practical training to gain industrial exposure.

The above programme modules are for Newbridge Diploma. These module will be adapted for BTEC Higher National Diploma.
SPM/ O-Level3 credits (Grade C or above) including Mathematics
UEC3 credits (Grade B or above) including Mathematics
STPMPass STPM (Grade C or above) in any subjects and
credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its Equivalent.
Certificate Level 3 (MQF)Pass certificate with credit in Mathematics at SPM
level or its equivalent.
Other Equivalent Qualifications1. Candidates without credit in Mathematics at SPM level
may be considered if the certificate programme consists of
Mathematics which is equivalent to Mathematics at SPM level.

2. Candidate with credit in any computing related subjects at SPM level
or its equivalent may be given consideration.

English Language Proficiency requirements set by
BTEC HND in Computing and Systems Development
1. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall grade of 5.5 with a minimum of 5.0 in Reading and Writing subtests

The broad foundation and robust computing skills honed through the completion of the Diploma in Information Technology prepares student for a wide range of career such as system analyst, network administrator, software developer, information system assistant and database administrator

Progression to degree programmes
The Diploma and UK Higher National Diploma in Computing and Systems enable students to progress to second year Bachelor degree courses in related field at selected local universities or universities in Australia and the United Kingdom.
