Overview

Students will be able to interpret complex financial statements for reporting and assist in decision making by providing clear analysis of the financial statements.

Students will also gain an understanding of applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) which underpin the preparation of the company financial statements.

Helps students to become specialists in their area of learning or work. Learning at this level is appropriate for students working or hoping to work in a technical and professional job, and/or manage and develop others.

Students are assessed via written examinations.

Entry Requirement

SPM/O-Level Pass SPM with minimum 3 credits(grade C and above) including Mathematics and a pass in English
UEC 3 credits (Grade B or above) including Mathematics and a pass in English
STPM Pass STPM or equivalent (grade C or above) in any subjects with credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level
LCCI Pass Level 3 Group Diploma (LCCI International Qualifications)
Certificate Level 3 (MQF) Pass Certificate with CGPA of minimum 2.00 and credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level

Progression to ACCA

The Diploma in Accounting and Finance allows you to support the work of professional accountants and as a pathway into the ACCA programme with three (3) papers exemption. It also allows you to progress into the second year degree programmes at local universities.
